REACH is an EC regulation (EC 1907/2006) on chemicals. It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemical substances. The aim of REACH is to improve the identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. At the same time, the innovative capability of the EU chemicals industry should be enhanced. The benefits of the REACH system will come gradually, as more substances are registered.

Following the publication of Annex 1 to the above, Plastex confirm that all PVC base compounds used in the manufacture of its products do not contain Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) plasticizer.

There has been some controversy about the use of PVC, but all detailed scientific studies have concluded that it has an environmental impact similar to, or better than, other plastics.

Plastic Extruders Ltd. warrants that goods supplied by, or on behalf of itself, will be free of any defects in materials or workmanship.

The warranty periods below shall extend from date of shipment and shall be subject to the products being properly applied, installed and maintained.

Low profile Frontrunner & Low Profile Frontrunner Plus 2 years

If a product covered by this warranty is deemed to be defective, Plastic Extruders Ltd. will repair or replace it free of charge. The level of liability under this warranty is limited to the original price paid only and does not extend to any consequential loss or other damages whatsoever.

Winston Churchill School, the well-known local authority specialist sports college in Woking, has recently installed large areas of Frontrunner Plus at all its entrances. The high performance matting, part of the Frontrunner Entrance Flooring System, has been used in standalone modules, with ramped edges to eliminate tripping. Surface mounting on the existing carpet eliminated the cost and disruption of retrofitting recessed matwells.
